YouTube Channels: Brand Account vs. Personal
So before create a channel, it’s important to know that there are two types of channels you can create. There is not much difference in how they work and how you operate them. You can monetize both of them if you want. So what’s the difference…
|Personal Channel||Brand Account Channel|
|Can be used/accessed by only one person. You cannot add admins or managers.||YouTube brand account channel can have multiple users / managers.|
|There can only be one personal channel for 1 Google account.||There can be multiple channels / brand accounts under one Google account.|
|If your personal account is taken down (due to copyright strikes or other reasons), you can’t create any other channels.||Even if one of your Brand Account channels is taken down, you can still use other channels and can also create new ones.|
|Personal account channel can only be accessed through your Google username and password.||Brand Account channel can be accessed by channel managers using their own Google credentials.|
It’s always a good idea to create a brand account.
