Create Multiple YouTube Channels with 1 Google Account

Video is the future of content. One third of total internet traffic is video. And according to a report by Cisco, this number will go up to 82% by the year 2022. This makes videos a very important part of your strategy. Whether you are a brand or a consumer, if you want to create content it better be video.

Creating videos is one thing. Finding an audience is the real deal. And YouTube is where the audience is. Majority of it, at least. Thankfully, anyone can create a channel on YouTube. And monetize videos too. You can create a channel on mobile device, or from your PC. And what’s even better is that you can create more than one channels with one Google account and manage them simultaneously. Here is everything you need to know.

YouTube Channels: Brand Account vs. Personal

So before create a channel, it’s important to know that there are two types of channels you can create. There is not much difference in how they work and how you operate them. You can monetize both of them if you want. So what’s the difference…

Personal ChannelBrand Account Channel
Can be used/accessed by only one person. You cannot add admins or managers.YouTube brand account channel can have multiple users / managers.
There can only be one personal channel for 1 Google account.There can be multiple channels / brand accounts under one Google account.
If your personal account is taken down (due to copyright strikes or other reasons), you can’t create any other channels.Even if one of your Brand Account channels is taken down, you can still use other channels and can also create new ones.
Personal account channel can only be accessed through your Google username and password.Brand Account channel can be accessed by channel managers using their own Google credentials.

It’s always a good idea to create a brand account.

How to Create Multiple YouTube Channels (Brand Accounts)

Step 1: Go to this YouTube URL: youtube.com/channel_switcher

Step 2: If you are not already signed in, sign in using your Google/Gmail username and password.

Step 3: After you log in, it will show you your personal account along with any other channels that you may have created already.
Click the “Create a new channel” link.

Step 4: You will be taken to this page, enter the name of the channel that you want to create and then click the “Create” button.

This is it. You will now be redirected to your new YouTube channel. Customize it or start uploading videos.

And if you want to create one more channel, just repeat the steps.

The process is pretty straightforward, and approved to work in YouTube’s new 2019 layout.
