I’ve been looking for a good internet for a while now, but haven’t found it, no surprise. Unfortunately, Stormfiber is not in my area [insert sad music] or else I would have switched to it ages ago. It is supposed to be superior in speed and with drastically less issues. If it is in your area, I’d recommend giving it a shot [no this is not a paid article, I wish it was!].
It is unfortunately not available in a lot of areas, but most of the people using it are not only happy but are recommending it * gasp*. When was the last time an internet service provider was recommended to anyone? Was 2012 for me, oh Maxcom how I miss your existence.
It seems that they are prompt in replying on Twitter, the reply time seems to be within an hour. Of course, there are bad experiences as well, not going to sweep those under the carpet, where they have promptly replied on social media but have gone AWOL. So, there are some customer service issues it seems so beware of that, but those also seem to be area specific and if I go by what Yasmin Rashid thinks it must be mainly in Lahore [just kidding…].
Anyway, onwards to what they have to offer. Stormfiber has definitely seen the iron hot and struck – they introduced their ‘work from home’ (WFH) package for the COVID-19 times. They increased their 4 Mbps to 5 Mbps making it difficult for you to avoid those video meetings by using the speed as you excuse. Apart from that they have several other packages offering you value for money [still not a paid article].
They provide services in several different cities – Karachi, Lahore, Faisalabad, Peshawar, Gujranwala, Hyderabad, Multan, and Quetta. Not Islamabad, hmm, wonder what’s the story there?
