This has been a good year for Pakistani cinema. With a ban on Bollywood movies, there are quite a lot of Pakistani movies that are filling that void. There will be 3 new Pakistani movies releasing on Eid ul Adha. There are rumors that the long awaited The Legend of Maula Jatt might release too. But it’s not confirmed yet. The release has been delayed several times.
However, there is an impressive lineup of Pakistani movies slated to release on August 12th, 2019 weekend. That is the Eid ul Adha 2019 weekend, followed by Independence Day. So, any movie released is likely to get a good reception. Citing this, there will be as many as 3 Pakistani movies that will release on Eid ul Adha and Independence Day 2019.

Superstar the movie has Mahira Khan and Bilal Ashraf in the lead roles. As it seems, the movie is more about Mahira Khan who will be playing an actress in the movie. Now, there have been a lot of movies about actors in Bollywood, and Hollywood. But not so much in Pakistan. So this is a relatively new concept in Pakistani cinema. Plus it has a female in the lead role.

3. Heer Maan Ja
Another romcom. This one stars Ali Rehman Khan and Hareem Farooq in lead roles. The teaser trailer does not reveal much but it looks more of a comedy than a love story.

Eid ul Fitr 2019 in Pakistan is on June 4, 2019. And with Eid, come the most awaited movies of the year. This time too, there are some big budget movies lined up for Eid holiday.
While Indian movies are banned, the lineup of Pakistani movies lined up for Eid ul Fitr 2019 looks pretty impressive. The movies cast most of list A stars like Fawad Khan, Mahira Khan, Mehwish Hayat, and Hamza Ali Abbasi.

This is a sequel of Wrong No. – a comedy movie released in 2015. The second installment of the movie is directed by Yasir Nawaz and will be releasing this Eid.

Disney’s Aladdin is one of the most awaited movies of 2019. It’s releasing across the world in May. In Pakistan, the movie will release on May 24, 2019. That’s in the month of Ramadan – just a few days before Eid. So it’s likely that the movie will still be in cinemas by Eid 2019.

Salman Khan’s “Bharat” – the Bollywood movie releasing on this Eid. Although it seems unlikely that the movie will release in Pakistan. But still, there’s a chance.
